IEF: Antonio's Big Breakfast

The ultimate breakfast restaurant.  Pancakes, poached egg, coffee stick, apple & orange slices, bacon and of course sausages.. whew! Who wouldn't want that?  This amazing plate is being offered at Antonio's breakfast in Tagaytay, Philippines.  Oh I love that place.  When my friends took me there to have breakfast, I immediately fell in love not only with the ambiance but with the food itself.  Although a little bit pricey but with the loads of food servings, the experience itself wouldn't let you forget the magnificence of the aroma and taste of this yummy yummy yummy big breakfast..  Their menu doesn't only offer breakfast (which im also going to feature in other entries), but they also offer different variants for lunch and dinner.  A perfect date place.

IEF: Home's Spring Rolls

Nothing beats food cooked from home.  Being and dining with family and friends in your own place keeps the love alive.  Anyway, for this IEF, I present Edna's Pork and Vegetable Spring Rolls.  Edna (or manang doy) is our long time helper.  She is actually a part of our family already.  She was with us since i was i think 7 years old.  This IEF is a favorite.  Always present in our celebration of the different occasions.  I love the way manang doy cooked this one.  I wish you, yes you, are here to eat with us.  I heart Spring rolls.

IEF: Phnom Pehn's (Cambodia) Best Coffee

Mix of dark brewed coffee, a glass full of ice and condensed milk

I loved it!

The Coffee Man!

I'm a self-confessed lover of coffee! Almost all of my friends know it.  So when the time I had the opportunity to travel to Phnom Pehn, Cambodia, one of my good friends challenged me to find Phnom Pehn's Best Iced Coffee.. So the food or rather coffee explorer in me jumped with excitement.. during my free time, I went around town, checked out local and international coffee shops but failed.  Not knowing that the Best Iced Coffee can be found at Phnom Pehn's Russian Market.  It's the market where you can buy all kinds of goodies from clothes to souvenir items.  The little coffee shop in the middle of the market was literally called "Phnom Pehn's Best Iced Coffee."  (check the first photo above). So when I asked few of the locals where to find this best coffee place, I grabbed the chance.. Went inside the market, bought a few souvenirs and went straight to this cute little cafe.  It's cute since it's also lined up with the other coffee shops and restos.. So if you want to try this, be sure to find this coffee man (check photo above).  And be amazed of his best iced coffee.

IEF: Guangzhou's (China) Frog Hotpot

When I was asked to go to Guangzhou, China, I didn't want to miss the opportunity to taste and explore local but with a touch of exotic food.  In this post, a Chinese friend of mine took me to a local restaurant.  One that foreigners don't usually go to.  They serve all kinds of hotpot.  Don't ask me what are the ingredients (lol).  I don't know most of them.  I just ate.  One thing I knew that the hotpot we ordered is all about frogs.  3 kgs of frog she said.  Dang!  But surprisingly, this frog tastes like chicken!  Soft chicken in fact.. and I love this hot-chili pot!

So if you're in Guangzhou, take time to visit the local restos.. and order the frog hotpot.
